For the longest time we’ve been like ships passing in the night with the annual hop selection that our hop merchants extend an invite out to only the best and most exciting brewers they work with every year. The first time we were invited in 2020, the world stopped in its tracks, and since then it’s been a series of unfortunate events preventing us from attending. Not this year however. In late 2025, just in time for the harvest, our very own Lally jetted out to Washington to personally select our hops from Barth Haas for the following twelve months – four varieties of which are utilised on this beer, made in collaboration with our friends Brew York, out on the same trip to pick their own varieties from the same merchant. Given we were on the west coast, it felt silly not to kick it as old school as physically possible with a turbocharged West Coast IPA hopped exclusively with C hops to hark back to the breweries we wouldn’t exist without today. Crisp, clean, bitter, and dangerously drinkable.
