Winter Fir – Christmas Imperial Stout 10.0%

Whilst we’re primarily known for our pale and hoppy output, there’s nothing we love more than occasionally dipping our toes into the dark side of things and embracing a stout to keep our brewers happy. In a world awash with crazy adjunct-riddled pastry and dessert stouts, we decided to bring everything back to basics and go all out on a style we ourselves loved in our formative years of drinking beer – the straight up, no fuss Imperial Stout. No messing around on this one; a tickling of Columbus during the boil and then again at flameout give the beer a decent amount of bitterness, but we’ve let the malt firmly do the talking with this beer. A blend of eight specialty malts brings roasted coffee, dark fruits, and chocolate before a final addition of dark molasses elevates this beer to special territory.
