We’re never going to pretend to be the first brewery to have done them, but we can certainly lay a claim that our Oat Cream IPAs are rapidly becoming one of the strongest arms of our brewing output, rubbing shoulders with our big, big beers. When we had a routine catch up with one of our hop merchants recently we laid out our plans to really incorporate this style as a flagbearer for the brewery they immediately got giddy with excitement as to the pairings we could utilise best on it. For Halos? Why not go with some classic pellet Citra, Citra in its Lupomax form, and one of their favourites, Krush? The former HBC-586 has certainly wowed us since it first arrived on our radars back in 2023, and we’re massive fans of the super-fruit forward peach, apricot and fresh orange notes it brings to the party that perfectly vibe with the playful citrus notes from in-house classic Citra.
