Salary: £30,200 plus a generous, realistic bonus scheme (capped at £20,000 p/a) based on 40 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to lead our team, uphold our company values, and drive our business forward.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, inspire, and manage the entire team, including chefs and other managers, to ensure operational excellence and a collaborative work environment amongst the teams.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing team that aligns with Polly’s brand values.
    • Provide excellent levels of customer service and employee leadership by leading by example. Maintain excellent levels of work serving customers behind the bar and on the restaurant floor and kitchen.
  • Brand Integration:
    • Embody and promote the Polly’s brand values across all aspects of the business, fostering a positive and engaging culture for staff and customers alike.
    • Enhance customer experience by implementing initiatives that reflect our brand ethos and service standards.
    • Hold a key understanding on Polly’s latest beer releases and provide educational conversation to customers and employees.
  • Staff Training & Development:
    • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff to enhance skills and service quality.
    • Conduct regular training sessions on company policies, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, optimising processes for productivity and customer satisfaction.
    • Generate and update menus.
    • Work with the kitchen team to curate menus and food / beer pairings.
    • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and health and safety regulations within the establishment working with existing management teams to enforce the company HACCP plans and SOP’s.
  • Financial Performance:
    • Manage budgets and financial plans, conducting regular financial analysis to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
    • Achieve set gross profit margins on a monthly basis and work with external companies.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve financial targets.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Cultivate relationships with customers, handling feedback, complaints, and inquiries to maintain a high level of service.
    • Implement initiatives to increase customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns and events that engage and attract customers.
    • Maintain a strong presence in the local community to boost brand visibility and reputation.
  • Supplier and Inventory Management:
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure quality products at favourable prices.
    • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and reducing waste.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of Polly’s Brew Co. and it’s existing products.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the hospitality / brewing industry.
  • Strong understanding of business management principles with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
