We are excited to launch Polly’s Social, our very own high-end taproom and restaurant where we will serve our freshest beers, homemade food, coffee, spirits, and more. We are seeking like minded
individuals to help and support our management team, uphold our company values, and drive our business forward giving our customers the very best Polly’s experience.
We require a 30 hours a week Bar Supervisor to join our tight-knit team. If you think this could be you, please read on…

Who you are?
● Someone who enjoys a fast-paced and fun environment.
● You love working as part of a team to a common goal.
● You are passionate, professional and driven by getting things done to a schedule.
● You take pleasure in details and getting things right the first time.
● Passionate about the customer experience and journey.

We are looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to join the team at Polly’s Social and help us continue to develop the venue, our team and the experience we offer our customers.

This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality. You will be comfortable leading a team during service, getting stuck in behind the bar, maintaining high operational standards and taking responsibility when management are not present.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who understands that great hospitality is about more than serving a drink, it is about the atmosphere, the team, the product knowledge and making sure customers want to come back.

Training in all aspects of this role will be given and our supportive team will always be on hand, should you have any questions or need support.

Key responsibilities include:
● 2+ years’ experience in hospitality at a supervisory level, with a strong understanding of day-to-day operational and team management.

● Previous experience within both restaurant and bar environments, with the ability to adapt confidently across different areas of hospitality.

● Strong organisational and time-management skills, including effective cellar management, stock control and stock rotation.

● Excellent communication skills, ensuring smooth ordering processes and clear, consistent liaison with suppliers to maintain efficient stock flow and service continuity.

● Confident in staff engagement and development, motivating team members to understand, promote and sell our products with knowledge and confidence.

● Ability to work effectively to deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of service
and attention to detail.

● Strong brand ambassador, representing the business professionally and demonstrating a genuine passion for our products and customer experience.

● Confident in implementing cocktail menu changes, including developing and introducing new drinks and creative cocktail concepts.

● Full, valid driving licence, with the flexibility to travel where required.

● Willing to support management with social media activity, including content creation, promotion and engagement where appropriate.

● Comfortable with cashing-up and closing procedures, with the ability to take responsibility for these duties in the absence of a manager.

● Confident in maintaining and enforcing managerial standards, ensuring consistency across service, operations and team performance.

● Well-versed in EHO requirements and food safety standards, with a proven ability to maintain high levels of compliance and ensure standards are consistently upheld.

Desirable, but not essential:
● Experience working with craft beer or within an independent bar or taproom.
● Cocktail development and menu experience.
● Experience supporting events and venue promotions.
● Experience creating or contributing to social media content.
● Knowledge of Polly’s Brew Co. and an interest in independent beer.
● Comfortable driving transit van (dray vehicle).

You’ll have:
● Excellent work ethic.
● Clean UK driving licence.
● A can-do attitude.
● Strong communication skills.
● Love working in a team, but you also love using your own initiative.
● Strong time management skills.
● Good literacy and numeracy skills.
● Enjoys an active and fast paced work environment.
● Good computer literacy.
● High levels of hygiene; both personal and within your working environment.
