We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to help our management team, uphold our company values, and drive our business forward.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support Leadership:
- Assist the General and Deputy Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient service delivery.
- Step in for the General / Deputy Manager as needed to maintain operational continuity.
- Provide excellent levels of customer service and employee leadership by leading by example. Maintain excellent levels of work serving customers behind the bar and on the restaurant floor and kitchen.
- Staff Training & Development:
- Assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff to enhance skills and service quality.
- Conduct regular training sessions on company policies, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
- Team Management:
- In the absence of senior managers, you will lead and motivate staff to uphold Polly’s brand values, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist with the management of schedules, staff performance, and conflict resolution to ensure a cohesive team dynamic.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Support inventory management, vendor relations, and supply chain logistics to ensure cost-effective operations and quality control.
- Implement processes that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Experience:
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure their needs are met, enhancing their overall experience at Polly’s Social.
- Promote a customer-first mindset among staff, ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, conducting regular checks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep up to date with all compliance legislation and ensure the team is informed and trained accordingly.
- Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional activities and events to increase brand visibility and foot traffic.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in designing and implementing training programs.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control strategies.
